I work as a part-time manager of a local rock style band that is looking for a rhythm/2nd guitarist. The bassist, who thinks he runs the band, called a guy he knows and invited him to audition. Three of the band members were hoping to get another guy but he is in a band and too busy building some of the most God awful guitars you've ever seen. When this guy comes in unannounced, he has two guitar cases and pulls out a couple of axes that would embarrass KISS. He then breaks into Foggy Mountain Breakdown on the one guitar and then a weird rendition of Hang On Sloopy on the other guitar. The current lead guitar player looks nervous because he believes this guy, though rhythm and 2nd guitarist, will obviously be compared to Duane Allman vs. Dickie Betts. Yes, he had a magnificent slide solo in FMB. On the way to the door, he admitted he wasn't looking to join a band but enjoyed the opportunity to play again. Unfortunately, some time during the audition, the drummer exploded and we are now looking for a percussionist. Are there any Gene Krupa clones out there?
